Judges - 2009 Winners --- Amateur - George Francis, Open Gun Dog - Chris Johnson, Novice - Dave Witt (Gun Dog Winner, David Barrow was out of town and unable to attend or bring Trophy)

The Wachovia Farm Beautiful Lake and Shelter with Ceiling Fans helped to cope with high temp of 102. Because of the extreme heat, the Judges followed a super singles format and started with Amateur because of the distance of marks.

Chris Johnson supplied TRC Trailer items and cold drinks. Lee Elam provided all of the ingredients needed to build super summer sandwiches and Jan Bertelsen provided desert. Approximately 35 members attended.

David Hammond Treasurer Reported a balance in the treasury as of the 2nd Quarter 2010 = $9,575.84 and 58 Members (Adding the 4 members voted in at the picnic - Membership Total - 62)

Next TRC Meeting - Sunday, July 11, 9AM - "Retriever Olympics" - Exciting and challenging for all Retrievers and their handlers. Events for all ages including puppies. Events will be followed by lunch - Lee Elams Barn. All Family Members Invited!!! Please RSVP so that lunch can be planned - Lee Elam 897-4050 Deadline for calling Lee is Friday JULY 9. This is a must in order for her to purchase food!!!!!

August TRC Training Day - August 1 - Wachovia Bird Farm - Petersburg Road (Same location as Summer Picnic)

Flyers will be available!!! - Price $11. You will be able to keep your Mallard if desired. - Please let LInda Downey know if you would like a flyer (linda.tidewater@hotmail.com -- 804-794-8212. We will attempt to set up training for all levels. We will have a little Breakfast at the shelter at 7:30 - 8:30 AM, provided by TRC, and get started with training early because of August weather.

This Training Day will be open to non-members who are interested in joining and would like the opportunity to have a flyer for their Retriever. Great opportunity to proof for Fall Events!!!!
