Tidewater Retriever Club was formed in 1971 by a dedicated group of hunters and sportsman that wanted to combine their efforts to have better hunting retrievers. TRC is the largest retriever club in Virginia. TRC is affiliated with the American Kennel Club and a member of the Master National Retriever Club. Being a large club with various interest and goals for our dogs provides our members with all levels of training aid for their dogs. Our members vary from the dedicated hunter who wants a good hunting companion and house pet to the members who have enough dogs to run their own trial. TRC holds a monthly training day for it's members. This gives every member the opportunity to further develop his or her training ability to the fullest. This also gives our members and their dogs experience in the trial atmosphere. This monthly experience is a very good check and balance for even the most experienced handler.
